Spiritual growth is God’s unique blessing for his children. He matures believers in wisdom and power to conform to his standard of righteousness, so that we can serve him with deep devotion and be fit for his kingdom.

Almighty Father, I do not want to be a baby Christian anymore; I want to take Christianity seriously! Please anoint me to stand upright with you. Let me hold firm to my confession of Jesus Christ. Take away every persecution that the enemies may hurl against me. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to remain undefeatable, and anoint me to preach your gospel throughout the world. Let my outreaches touch people’s lives and lead them to the salvation of your Son Jesus Christ. At the end of my earthly journey, let me hear your favorable statement “Weldon and welcome my good servant!” For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Jehovah, please let me grow up and become a mature Christian. Enable me to take Christianity seriously, and help me to be committed to it. Let me be consistent in my relationship with you, and let me please you in all my endeavors. Also, give me boldness to preach your gospel and represent you well on earth. Let me serve you well to qualify for your imperishable crown of glory in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

O Good Lord, please enable me to demonstrate a positive attitude towards correction. Give me contrite, teachable, and humble spirit. Keep me honest, and help me to admit my mistakes. Enable me to take positive steps toward improvement, and help me to be a growing Christian who prioritizes holiness, honesty, and integrity above other virtues. Please do these and much more for me!
