Thanksgiving is the act of showing gratitude to God for all his good deeds. Christians must offer thanksgiving to God because he dwells in it.

Father, you deserve every honor in my life. You deserve praises and offering of thanksgiving at all times. No one else can offer me protections and provisions like you do! You have sheltered and cared for me in the time of needs, and you have given me peace during crisis. Why then should I not praise you? Please give me the grace to appreciate you from the bottom of my heart at all times. Do not let me share any part of your glory. Help me to praise you always, and help me to testify to your goodness throughout the world. Also, let my testimony abide so that I can continue to bring praises to your holy name. Dear God, how wonder a Father you are! You love me deeply, and you have shown me your loving-kindness. The list of your goodness in my life is endless! You forgave my sins and made me your son/daughter. You fed me when I was hungry, you healed me when I was sick, and you lifted me up when I was down! How can I forget your goodness in my life? I will never forget, but I will be grateful always. Please let your songs of praises ever be in mouth. For in the name of your only Son Jesus Christ I brought you my thanksgiving offering.

God desires that his children are dedicated into faithfully serving him. He does not expect us to keep casual relationship with him. As we devote our time and services to him, great and mighty works of God will manifest in our lives.

Jehovah, please I want to go to heaven where there shall be perfect joy. This world is not perfect, and hell fire would be worse! The only choice I prefer is heaven! Please count me worthy for heaven. I understand that Jesus Christ is the only sure way to heaven; a person who believes and follows him will make it on the last day. Therefore, I confess Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I will serve him from now on, and forever. I confess my sins and repent from them. Dear Jesus Christ, Hell Fire is too hot and I do not want to go there – neither do I want it to become my permanent home! I want to go to heaven that has peaceful bliss – where people never suffer pain or abuse. Hell has horror but heaven has peace! Therefore, I am determined to invest my future and destiny in you so that I can go to heaven. Today, I am determined to sign up for your life insurance program that will never fail: I confess you Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and I give you my complete life forever. Oh Good Lord, I am committed to dedicating my life to serving you in holiness; therefore, I am determined to give all it takes to stay away from sins – for especially, sexual sins that corrupt body, mind, and soul. Please help me to keep my body pure by resisting fornication and adultery. Help me to maintain the integrity and stay consistent with bible standard. In the name of Jesus Christ, I receive the power of God to preach the irresistible gospel. I also claim the strength and grace of God to preach the gospel that will lead sinners to repentance and have access to the kingdom of God. Dear God, I believe your scripture that states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Therefore, I ask you to please empower me through the Holy Spirit to do exploits. Let me succeed in all my endeavors, so that I can share your testimony of goodness to other people. Christians owe allegiance to God. He is our heavenly Father, and he has every right to claim complete ownership of our lives. We are required to give Him unbiased and unconditional commitment.

Vanity upon vanity, the world is vanity! I am determined to follow Jesus Christ and not allow any situation to distract me from him. I have made up my mind to keep my testimony as a child of God. I stand by my word, and I will hold firm my confession of Jesus Christ to the end. Yes, Jesus Christ is the true and only Son of God sent to rescue the lost sinners. Since I believe in Jesus, my sins are forgiven and I am qualified for rapture! Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior, and the devil cannot do anything to stop it. My faith is reserved in the Son of God forever!

God wants us to engage in devotional practices that will draw us closer to him. Our practices will also turn to become spiritual nourishment for our souls.
