We found out today that our son , grandson he has a large chunk of his COl11A1 gene missing which is pathogenic and the doctor thinks he might have sticklers syndrome because of it. The test came back with a high chance of the genes next to the one affected are also affected. Please pray that he has no complications with what we already know and that the additional test results come back negative for any mutations or problems on the genes next to the one already affected. He was also diagnosed recently with hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome previous to getting this genetic test result, so as it stands, he has that as well as whatever this gene mutation is causing, we will have a better idea once the additional test comes back. I just pray that there are no complications at all and that the next test comes back negative for anything else and that he is can healthy and happy. I believe in the power of prayer and that God will answer my prayers.
