Humility is a direct opposite of pride. Christians are expected to be humble like Jesus Christ “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage” (Philippians 2:6).
The Bible reference
“For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”
(Luke 14:11 KJV)
Pray for Humility
HUMILITY PRAYER – No. 1
Ancient of Days, please make me a humble person. Give me the grace to demonstrate sincere humility like your Son Jesus Christ who submitted himself to ridicule and dishonor for the purpose of saving humanity. Help me to submit myself to you also; let me think about you more and serve you better. To demonstrate my sincerity, I therefore, submit on my knees today and confess my sins and declare Jesus Christ as my Lord. I declare that he (Jesus) is Lord, and I accept him as my personal Savior. From now on, I will serve Jesus with all my strength, and I will do this for the rest of my life! For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.
HUMILITY PRAYER – No. 2
Dear Lord, if you can use anyone, use me! I will consider it an honor to serve you with all my strength. If you choose me, I will run fast, and I will loudly proclaim your goodness throughout the earth. I will serve you in the morning, afternoon, and evening. In fact, I will infiltrate the whole world with your good news, and I will fly your banner very high. I repeat again: “Lord, if you can use anyone, use me!” in Jesus Name I pray.
Amen.
HUMILITY PRAYER – No. 3
Dear God, please do not let me abuse your grace in my life. Help me to fear and carefully follow all your instructions so that I can prosper in life and ministry. I also pray that you frustrate all enemies’ schemes aim to sabotage your grace in my life. Let my enemies fail; let me serve you well, and let me receive your goodly rewards in this life – and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests.
Amen.
