Children of God must be mindful of the relationships that we keep. A relationship can interfere positively or negatively with our walk with God. An interaction that can lead us into any form of disobedience to God must be avoided at all cost.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”.

Dear God, I realized that illicit relationships are ungodly and they can make anybody fall from grace, therefore, I ask you to please help me to maintain sanctity as a single (or married) person. Help me to abstain from any interaction that may damage my relationship with you. Please let me be holy and faithfully serve you so that I can enjoy your benefits, and so that I can prosper in all aspects of life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

O Good Lord, I am sorry for every immoral sin that I have committed. I understand that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; I am determined to shun fornication and idolatry. From now on, I will maintain purity as a true child of God, and I will maintain a consistent relationship with you always. Please give me strength and grace to remain steadfast with you unto the end. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Dear God, please give me the grace to live a holy life before you. Do not let me yield to temptations of sin, but enable me with grace to stand uprightly and walk faithfully before you always. Let your Holy Spirit empower me to faithfully run my Christian race in a way that will glorify your name, and also make me qualify for your kingdom. Please count me worthy now and always!
